Title of the presentation:
Recent advances in planar microwave sensors and applications
Abstract:
This talk focuses on the recent advances related to the design of high-performance microwave sensors implemented in planar technology, with special emphasis on sensitivity and selectivity optimization. Strategies for sensitivity enhancement in phase-variation and magnitude-variation sensors will be analysed. The talk also deals with the issue of sensor selectivity, important to determine analyte composition in complex samples, and approached by means of machine learning. Examples of applications will be also given, including sensors for structural health monitoring and biosensors.
